Logan Ryan Bengals
The Giants and safety Logan Ryan have agreed on a three-year, $31 million dollar deal that will keep the New Jersey native home to stay, SNY’s Ralph Vacchiano has confirmed.
The deal comes with $20 million guaranteed for Ryan, who bet on himself this past offseason by signing a one-year deal with the Giants.
In his first year with the Giants, Ryan has 83 combined tackles, three forced fumbles, one interception, one fumble recovery and one sack. He’s become one of the most reliable players on the team and a leader on defense.
Ryan joined the Giants after a career-year with the Tennessee Titans that saw him set new highs in tackles (113), sacks (4.5), pass deflections (18) and forced fumbles (4). Those numbers went along with four interceptions as well.
The Rutgers graduate and Berlin, N.J. native was drafted by the New England Patriots in 2013 and spent four seasons up in Foxborough — where he won two Super Bowls.
Ryan went on to play three seasons with the Titans from 2017-2019 before becoming a free agent this past summer.
With the losses the Giants suffered in the secondary — DeAndre Baker, Sam Beal and rookie Xavier McKinney‘s injury during training camp — the Giants signed Ryan to a one-year, $7.5 million dollar deal.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport was the first to report the new deal.
